Back Again with Vengeance

From the day the first teaser trailer debuted, Director Matt Reeves and cinematographer Greig Fraser’s new Gotham made us hold our collective breath until the release date. A younger, more “grounded” Batman took over the cape & cowl and we couldn’t wait to see what the new Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman had in store. We understood how important it would be to bring these characters closer to the audience but with this being the first of likely three movies, we also tried to feature the world around them. It’s often difficult to delve into plot intricacies in social posts but we managed to visually shed a light on “the story behind the story” in the standout carousel “No More Lies”. The same assemblage aesthetic was carried over into the Character Cards, a nod to The Riddler’s fervent logging & scrapbooking. The opportunity to recreate the new Batmobile in 3D was too great to pass up. It gave us flexibility to use in a multitude of ways throughout the campaign. As fans, we’ve always seen the Batmobile as a principal character and since the new design was a huge hit with the fanbase, it became a primary focus.
